With Spanish, Portuguese, and Puerto Rican heritage, Danielle grew up in a culturally rich family shaped by generations of Hawaiian culture. She earned her degree in Ecuador, where she met her husband Felipe.
When Felipe moved to Mexico City for work, Danielle moved back to Arizona to officially launch her multicultural wedding planning company, Joyful Journey Engagements, and became an expert at packing for long visits in just a personal item under the seat in front of her. This continued until one routine trip turned into a surprise proposal, turning the wedding planner into a soon-to-be wife!

Danielle has worked in international education, managed global teams, coordinated visas, and prepared thousands of students for academic and professional experiences abroad.
She’s also been part of cultural celebrations and volunteer efforts, including welcoming refugees to Arizona, which is an experience near and dear to her heart.
These lived experiences have not only shaped Danielle's professional expertise, but also her identity at its core and the personal 'why' behind everything she does.
