When we dreamed up the title A Tale of Two Origins, we realized it represents far more than just one part of JJE’s story.
It represents exactly where we came from, and simultaneously forms the foundation of who we are.
As JJE founders, Felipe and I have an international love story of our own. Two cultures, languages, and life experience that intersected in our perfect little love story. That experience has deeply shaped the way we approach event planning at JJE.

Many of our couples come from multiple cultures, traditions, languages, religions, or family backgrounds. Often, they are navigating the balance of honoring where they each come from while creating an experience that feels true to who they are together.
That balance matters deeply to us because we understand it personally.
But this idea of “two origins” extends beyond culture alone.
JJE itself was built from two different worlds colliding: the corporate events world and the wedding industry. While those spaces are often viewed separately, we believe the strongest events borrow philosophies from both. The strategy, structure, and operational excellence of corporate events combined with the emotional storytelling, intentional personalization, and guest experience found within weddings.
At JJE, our specialty has never been forcing people to choose between competing priorities, experiences, or identities.
It is creating space for multiple things to be true at the same time.
An event can feel elevated and purposeful while still feeling personal. It can showcase showstopping designs while also feeling deeply meaningful. It can honor tradition while embracing individuality. It can prioritize guest experience while still centering the people at the heart of the celebration.
That is the beauty of bringing different origins together intentionally.
That’s why this title feels so personal to us. Because A Tale of Two Origins is not just about where people come from; it’s about what becomes possible when those worlds are thoughtfully brought together.
